This is Bishop Chishin Hirai holding the old taiko drum as Bishop Shugen Komagata reads the writings on the side of the taiko drum before the start of the ceremony. A special Obon service was held in connection with the old taiko drum that was used at the Honouliuli Internment Camp in Kunia.
