City is on track repaving roads islandwide, Caldwell says

Mayor Kirk Caldwell, second from left, announced Tuesday that more than 2,000 lane miles of city roads have been repaved since January 2013. Joining the mayor on Nipo Street in Manoa were city officials Ross Sasamura, left, facility maintenance director and chief engineer; Robert Kroning, director of the Department of Design and Construction; and Jon Nouchi, deputy transportation director. Nipo Street is scheduled for repavement.

This is Mayor Caldwell walking on a bumpy and pitted Nipo St. in Manoa to a press conference. Nipo St. is scheduled to be re-paved. The mayor was joined by city officials, Ross Sasamura, Dir. and Chief Engineer, Department of Facility Maintenance, Robert Kroning, Dir. of Department of Design and Construction and Jon Nouchi, Deputy Dir. of Transportation Services, to announce that more than 2,000 lane miles of city roads have been repaved since January 2013. The city has jurisdiction over 3,517 lane miles of roadways throughout Oahu. They are on Nipo St. in Manoa that is scheduled to be re-paved.
