Rainbow Wahine volleyball coach Robyn Ah Mow-Santos and men’s basketball coach Eran Ganot have had their contract extensions approved at the University of Hawaii.
Ah Mow-Santos received a one-year extension that will take her through March 13, 2021, while Ganot received a two-year extension through April 19, 2023, in deals recently signed off on by the Hawaii Government Employees Association, which represents coaches.
UH would not say if they also received raises.
Ganot’s original agreement in 2015 provided for automatic raises averaging $26,000 per year over the first four years. He had been scheduled to receive a salary of at least $300,000 for the current season.
The listed salary range for the position is $250,008-$400,008.
The listed salary range for Rainbow Wahine head volleyball coach is $76,440-$143,472. Ah Mow-Santos’ contract also provides for automatic raises, but the amounts have been redacted in the copy released to the Star-Advertiser.
The Rainbow Wahine are 14-7 and in second place in the Big West at 10-2. Overall, Ah Mow-Santos is 34-15 (24-4) in two seasons at her alma mater.
Ganot was 17-13 (8-8 Big West) last season. Overall he is 59-35 (29-19) and led UH to a school-record 28-6 finish in 2015-16, including the Big West championship and the program’s first NCAA Tournament victory.
The ’Bows, who debut Friday in an exhibition game against Hawaii Pacific, were picked to finish sixth in the preseason Big West media poll. UH’s regular season opens against Portland on Nov. 9 at Stan Sheriff Center.
