CORRECTION

» The Travel Babees of Oahu franchise charges $40 a week to rent a Graco Pack N Play. The chart below incorrectly said the price was $4 in an earlier version. Also, Travel Babees is based in Charlotte, N.C., not San Diego as the article originally stated.

Mele and Ryan Goo, avid travelers before they had a son three years ago, opened the franchise recently after discovering the hassle of hauling baby gear on vacation.

"We found that it is very difficult to travel with him," said Mele Goo. "Not only figuring out what toys to bring on the plane, but what snacks to pack, what DVDs to bring, but also what we would need once we got to wherever we were going."

While many hotels offer complimentary cribs or playpens, Goo says she found them to be old and uncomfortable for their baby.

During a trip to San Diego, they had such a wonderful experience that they decided to open the franchise here last month. In San Diego, Goo rented a crib with bedding, a stroller and a baby bathtub.

"All I had to worry about was the plane ride, and everything was there in the hotel when we arrived," she said. "All of the comforts of home in a hotel. What more could I ask for?"
