A 47-year-old Waianae man was charged with raping a 13-year-old female and, in an unrelated case, a 64-year-old Kalihi man was arrested in connection with the groping of a 14-year-old girl this week, police said.

Be Van Nguyen, who was arrested about 12:30 p.m.?Wednesday, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and made his initial court appearance Friday. His bail was set at $25,000.

Police said Nguyen raped the girl several times since 2007. 

The second man fondled a female multiple times since 2007 and also gave the girl pornographic material, police said.

He was booked about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of six counts of third-degree sexual assault and one count of promoting pornography of a minor.
