Maui rescue personnel bring 4 paddleboarders safely ashore


Maui Ocean Safety’s rescue watercraft brought four family members from San Diego ashore Tuesday after they had problems getting back while paddleboarding fronting the Gazebo Restaurant at the Outrigger Napili Shores, 5315 Lower Honoapiilani Road.

Napili firefighters, Ocean Safety personnel and Lahaina’s rescue boat were dispatched about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Rescue personnel brought the father, mother and their two teenage daughters ashore by 2 p.m.
