Lost teen hikers rescued from Mauna Loa summit
Hawaii firefighters rescued two teenage boys who got separated from their parents while hiking the Mauna Loa summit Sunday morning.
The teens got lost Saturday at 6:10 p.m., the Hawaii County Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded at 5:45 a.m. Sunday with two ground teams and a chopper.
The ground team found the boys and took them back to the parking lot where they were reunited with their parents, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
