Wahine soccer team stays unbeaten at home

Raisa Strom-Okimoto recorded assists on both goals as Hawaii defeated UC Davis 2-0 on Sunday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

UH improved to 9-3-1 overall and 2-2 in the Big West Conference while remaining unbeaten at home this season. It is the team’s most overall wins under sixth-year coach Michele Nagamine.

Addie Steiner scored in the 27th minute on a combined assist from Strom-Okimoto and Lillie French. In the 83rd, Kellsie Gleason put in a rebound of a Strom-Okimoto shot to seal the outcome. It was the sophomore’s seventh and eighth assists, tying her for fourth-most among UH players in a single season.

UH continues play at home on Friday against Long Beach State.
