CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 26-year-old man who is suspected of fatally shooting a 24-year-old man in an illegal game room in McCully Wednesday.

Police have identified the suspect as Nathaniel Foster. He is wanted for second-degree murder. Foster is described as 5 feet, 11 inches and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or send an anonymous tip to honolulucrimestoppers.org. CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to Foster’s arrest.

Police responded to a report of possible gunshots on Poha Lane near South Beretania Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Officers were led to an illegal game room on the building’s second floor.

The two men were arguing when Foster shot the victim multiple times, police said. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. He sustained apparent gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

Foster fled the scene before police arrived. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

A person at the scene said the two men were game room employees.

In September, a man allegedly shot two people, a 44-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, inside Cuties Cafe, an illegal game room on North King Street in Chinatown. The woman died and the man was injured.

This killing is just another in a series of game room (gambling den) shootings. Remember Cuties and Palolo shootings. There are several more tied to robberies, sex assaults, etc. HPD is aware of all these illegal operations but only selectively busts them when they have no choice. Why? When leadership in HPD is guilty of the same crimes or helping to cover up the same what do you expect? The quick solution is fire everyone and replace with honest cops.
