Man arrested for allegedly punching ex-girlfriend

Police arrested a 21-year-old man after he allegedly barged into his ex-girlfriend’s home in Wahiawa and repeatedly punched her in the face.

The victim, 32, reported to police that her ex violated a temporary restraining order when he showed up at her residence at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Police said the suspect pushed his way into her home and ransacked contents inside before he punched her three times in the face.

The woman sustained “substantial bodily injuries” in the attack.

Police arrested the suspect Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree assault, first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal property damage and violation of a protective order.
