2 men seriously injured in Waikiki stabbings

Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to two separate attacks where two men sustained injuries in Waikiki early today.

EMS responded an area near McDonald’s restaurant at 2476 Kalakaua Ave. at approximately 12:30 a.m. Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man with multiple “slice wounds” to his face and took him to a trauma hospital in serious condition.

Twenty-five minutes later, paramedics responded to an area near the intersection of Kalakaua and Kapahulu avenues where they treated a 21-year-old man who sustained multiple stab wounds to his back.

EMS treated and transported him to a hospital in serious condition.

It’s unclear whether the two attacks are related.

Police said there are no arrests in both cases at this time.
