Flooding closes Hanalei Bridge on Kauai; 1 lane now open
The State Department of Transportation is warning Kauai residents to avoid Kuhio Highway in Princeville after the Hanalei Bridge was closed this morning due to flooding.
As of 8:15 a.m., one lane of the highway is open with Kauai police directing traffic in alternating directions at the bridge.
According to the DOT, a convoy out of Wainiha will take place at 8:50 a.m. today. Roadwork on Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Wainiha will resume on Monday.
