Man found dead in ocean at Ala Moana Beach park

Emergency Medical Services personnel have reported that a body was found in the ocean at Ala Moana Beach Park.

The incident occurred at about 5 p.m., and the victim is a 61-year-old male.

The body was discovered by a paddle boarder, according to the Honolulu Fire Department. The man was floating inside the lagoon in waters off the tennis court area, HFD said.

EMS said the victim was wearing reef-walking shoes and shorts. He was reportedly carrying some kind of bait.
