Hawaii’s Keith Shamburger got around Boise State’s Igor Hadziomerovic during the first half Sunday.

Former Hawaii basketball point guard Keith Shamburger has chosen Missouri to play his final season of hoops, the redshirt junior announced Saturday on his Twitter account.

“committed to the university of Missouri to play my last year. been a long month glad it’s all done. #MIZZOU #SEC,” Shamburger wrote.

He previously announced he was leaving the program in search for “a better fit.”

Shamburger started 30 of 31 games for UH in 2013-14, helping the Rainbow Warriors to a 20-11 record in his only active season as a ‘Bow. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.4 assists per game — the latter statistic was the best among Big West Conference players — but he shot just 34.9 percent from the field.

As a graduate student, Shamburger can play right away for the Tigers and not sit out the customary year. He redshirted a season when he left San Jose State for UH.

UH inherited two players, Negus Webster-Chan and Stefan Jankovic, from Missouri as Division I transfers. Both are expected to play for the Rainbow Warriors during the 2014-15 season. Another recruit, Roderick Bobbitt of Indian Hills (Iowa) Community College, chose UH over Mizzou, which is in the midst of a coaching change.
