Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton arrives to attend a ceremony at the National September 11 Memorial, in New York on Sunday on the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. » Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said today that she’s feeling better since falling ill at a 9/11 memorial ceremony, but she never lost consciousness and didn’t think her pneumonia diagnosis was significant enough to disclose beforehand.

“I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal,” she said of the pneumonia diagnosis she received Friday. She told CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that despite doctor’s orders to rest for five days, she thought she could “just keep going forward and power through it and that didn’t work out so well.”

Clinton abruptly left the ceremony and appeared to stumble while she was waiting for her motorcade. Asked whether she fainted, Clinton replied: “No, I didn’t. I felt dizzy and I did lose my balance for a minute. But I got in, once I could sit down, once I could cool off, once I got some water, I immediately started feeling better.”

Clinton’s evening interview, in which she promised to release more information at some point, came as her campaign scrambled to head off lasting damage from a difficult weekend. Aides are promising to release more of her medical records following her bout of pneumonia and conceding they were too slow in providing information about her condition.

An outbreak of respiratory illness swept through Hillary Clinton’s campaign in the weeks before she was diagnosed with pneumonia, campaign aides said Monday.

The Democratic presidential candidate abruptly left Sunday’s event after feeling “overheated.” A video later posted on Twitter showed her staggering and eventually slumping forward before being held up by three people as she was helped into a van.

On Sunday, her campaign answered questions about Clinton’s health and whereabouts with two short statements, both issued hours after she left the memorial in lower Manhattan. More than 20 hours later, her campaign gave a fuller accounting of the episode, which sparked a wave of bipartisan concern about her health and questions about her political transparency.

Clinton’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, said in an interview Monday with PBS’ Charlie Rose that Hillary Clinton was “doing fine” after a good night’s sleep. He added that if there are more health problems that caused her apparent weakness, “then it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors.”

He said that “on more than one occasion” over the years “the same sort of thing’s happened to her when she got severely dehydrated.”

Clinton said in the live telephone interview with CNN that she started to feel hot at the event, which took place on a muggy day in New York. There was little shade where Clinton was standing alongside other dignitaries.

As family members of 9/11 victims read the names of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, she decided to leave and get a drink of water. She was wearing a wool suit and had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, a fact her campaign had not made public.

In fact, campaign aides said Monday, a number of staff members at her campaign headquarters had been ill in recent weeks, including campaign manager Robby Mook.

At the apartment, she played with her grandchildren, even chasing them around the room, Fallon said. Clinton exited the building on her own, wearing sunglasses and carrying a handbag.

She waved to reporters and said: “I’m feeling great. It’s a beautiful day in New York.” She was then driven to her home in suburban Chappaqua, New York.

The public was left in the dark about Clinton’s whereabouts for about 90 minutes, sparking widespread speculation about her condition. That was a mistake, Fallon said.

“It’s just the kind of thing that if it happens to you and you’re a busy, active person, you keep moving forward,” Clinton said on CNN.

Clinton’s doctor, Lisa R. Barback, later came to her home and conducted an examination. In a statement released by the campaign eight hours after the incident, Bardack said the 68-year-old Clinton “became overheated and dehydrated” at the 9/11 ceremony. By the end of the day, she was “rehydrated and recovering nicely,” the doctor said.

Campaign aides said it was Clinton’s decision to attend weekend fundraisers and the Sunday ceremony, despite Friday’s diagnosis. Late Sunday evening, she canceled a California campaign swing scheduled for early this week. Her husband will headline some of her events, an aide announced late Monday.

    AP? Always Pathetic.

  2. AlohaKakou says:

The untruths continue, from Benghazi to E-Mail-Gate to now – incredible!

    • AhiPoke says:

I’ve already reached the point that I don’t believe anything that comes out of the mouth of any politician that I can’t personally verify. HRC has taken bending the truth to an art form. What amazes me is that her supporters don’t care. This incident on its own is irrelevant but it shows how difficult it is for her to state the truth. I don’t like Trump as well but come on, this lady is a pathological liar.

  3. Ronin006 says:

She did not stumble, she collapsed. Clinton may lie, but the video does not.

  4. palani says:

Although Hillary is almost certainly the most ethically challenged U.S. Presidential candidate in history, I admire her fortitude in attempting to carry on despite her serious illness.

    • Boots says:

lol, someone has a very short memory. Perhaps might even be suffering from PK? Hard to say anyone is the most anything but to say Hillary is the most challenged after such republican heroes as G W Bush and now the Donald who believes in stiffing young girls is really a reach.

By Stephen Dinan – The Washington Times – Updated: 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016
Bryan Pagliano, who helped maintain Hillary Clinton’s controversial email server, defied a congressional subpoena and refused to appear for a hearing Tuesday looking into the setup and deletion of her secret email account.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz said he’s going to figure out what options he can pursue, but said Mr. Pagliano is evading Congress.
“When you are served a subpoena from the United States Congress, that is not optional,” he said.
Three other witnesses involved in Mrs. Clinton’s server did show up for the hearing. Two of them refused to testify, asserting their rights against self-incrimination.

    • Ronin006 says:

Palani, her fortitude in attempting to carry on despite her serious illness shows desperation in a tightening race and extremely bad judgement. I believe that will be reflected in the polls taken this week.

This woman spins more than a Penn 12/0..

  6. Winston says:

Noooo! Just napping—on the curb—suspended between two Secret Service guys.

  7. fiveo says:

Yes, the video very clearly shows that unless she had been held up, she would have fallen like a sack of potatoes. The only true part of her statement is that she did not
lose consciousness. She was however clearly incapacitated and was partly held and dragged to her vehicle which resulted in her losing one of her shoes.

  8. CEI says:

I think she wants out. It’s clear the woman is exhausted as well as disoriented. But there’s way too much at stake for the moneyed elite. She and Bill have a lot of debts to repay to foreign and domestic donors with our tax dollars. Whoever is pulling her strings, besides Bill, is determined she remain in the race no matter how Ill she is. What a sad way to go through life. A husband who has been unfaithful since they were married. A record of failure as a senator and Sec’y of State. Got caught using a private server. No credibility with the public. And if she remains in the race and loses her supporters will desert her like rats off a sinking ship. I am beginning to feel sympathetic towards her.

  9. WizardOfMoa says:

It doesn’t take much knowledge to listen to your doctor when you’ve been diagnosed with pneumonia and told to take a couple of days to rest. So, why didn’t she followed doctor’s orders?

    • PoiDoggy says:

Because it’s the presidential campaign. If she hadn’t shown up for the memorial, she’d have been criticized for that. You can’t get sick, they’ll criticize; like you see now. It’s not uncommon; I work at an office where if you’re out for more than a week with illness (that’s not related to an accident), you get fired. “The work’s gotta get done.” So yeah, we all come in hacking and coughing over everything. If a member of the public comes in and gets sick, my boss says “That’s their tough luck.”

    • Boots says:

lol, as if everyone always follows doctor’s orders? Come on, She probably felt a lot better after taking a few antibiotics and as 9/11 is an important event, simply felt she could do it. She obviously did too much too soon, something most people have done at some point in their lives. No big deal. It is a shame that this campaign is bogged down with such minor events. This could have happened to anyone and will probably happen to the Donald if he ever decides to campaign outside of safe areas.

More propaganda being churned out by the Asinine Press, courtesy of the Star Advertiser. Andrea Mitchell/NBC interviewed Hillary Campaign Press Secretary Brian Fallon who stated that Hillary “was seen [by her aides] chasing her granddaughter around the apartment just a few moments after leaving that ceremony site.”
Really Brian – Hillary with pneumonia chasing around her granddaughter?? So much for rest and recuperation and I guess Hillary doesn’t care if she passes on her pneumonia to her granddaughter either! Maybe her granddaughter was trying to run away from her contagious grandma – LOL.

    • Boots says:

I don’t think it is super contagious. We certainly are not dealing with something like chicken pox. Doubt if she was all that contagious if at all.

      • sarge22 says:

The big guys should have let her fall in the gutter where she belongs. Lock her up.

      • hawaiikone says:

And this diagnosis undoubtedly comes from your many years of clinical experience. My compliments to you on your ongoing disguise, as your routine postings offer scant evidence of professional capabilities..

        • Boots says:

No just reading that pneumonia may not be all that contagious. From Fox, several experts who have not treated Clinton said her reported symptoms and actions at the event suggest she had common bacterial pneumonia and did not threaten the health of those around her during the public appearance.

“It’s not too surprising that she has a pneumonia,” Dr. Frank Esper, pediatric infectious disease specialists at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, one of those experts, told FoxNews.com. “She’s under a lot of stress, and the rigors of the campaign can lead you to be more susceptible to getting sickness.”

        • hawaiikone says:

Well, that certainly sounds better than “doubt if she was all that contagious if at all”.

      • PMINZ says:

Yes Boots only some types of pneumonia is contagious. There are many types, I have had Bronchial pneumonia my self. Netrher my parents or sister ar another time, none of my NAVY shipmates got it.

  11. dlg808 says:

Liar liar pants on fire… again.

  12. nomu1001 says:

Opinions only matter if it changes your own opinion. And we have not seen or heard anything that will change our opinion, that Clinton is clearly the best candidate for POTUS.

And nothing could be worse for this country than Trump.

    • sarge22 says:

Lock her up. She is just acting like she is sick so the judge will feel sorry for her. Cough lie cough lie cough Will it never end. “Make America Great Again”

      • Boots says:

Yes lets elect someone who stiffs young girls. Talk about lying, the Donald is the champion.

        • sarge22 says:

Good to see you agree Donald is the champion. Another vote for Trump. Keep the real stiff out of the White House.

        • hawaiikone says:

No one suspects a thing. No need to overdue it…

        • Keonigohan says:

          Boots…did you know Bubba clinton…
“Newly released flight logs show former US president Bill Clinton flew on convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” jet at least 26 times.
“Bubba Clinton reportedly ditched his Secret Service detail for at least five flights, even though there does not appear to be any of the required paperwork for signing the detail off.
The flight logs showing those traveling with Clinton on board the plane, which reportedly had a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls as young as 12, included socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who prosecutors believe procured underage girls for Epstein.”
oh and he did pay off Paula Jones $850,00.00 big ones.

  13. richierich says:

Opposite: adj. 1. What Hillary Clinton says and what’s the truth.

  14. Kahu Matu says:

Whatever Clinton says, is a lie. Maybe she just needs to stay out of the public light for a while and prep for the debate. She definitely cannot keep up with the high stress of a campaign and she should think of her health not her ego.

    • toby says:

I wonder why she wasn’t taken to the ER

      • Kahu Matu says:

Clinton has the power and money to get out of anything. She probably paid doctors and medical personnel to come to her daughters apartment to check on her while they exited out a different way or stayed hidden. Remember, Clinton is a natural at cover-ups and lies. She is very controlling of her image and information.

  15. CEI says:

I guess she can blame it all on a video now and not be lying, unlike the video that sparked the Benghazi massacre. It’s almost painful to watch. Her legs went right out from under her and she almost took the 2 beefy handlers down with her. I took the liberty of downloading the video before it gets flushed down the memory hole. It’s really sad what her puppet masters are doing to her. She needs a nice long vacation in a quiet place. Calling uncle Joe Biden, uncle Joe Biden, where are you??? Joe has a habit of inappropriate touching now and then, doesn’t disqualify him for the presidency, does it?

  16. MillionMonkeys says:

This week’s lie: Donald saying he’ll release his medical records next week BEFORE he knows the results. This guy is so image-conscious and secretive, he wouldn’t promise to release anything unless he knows exactly what they’re going to say.

“Hopefully they’re going to be good…” and “I hope she gets well…”

Trump doesn’t talk like that. He’s up to something. He’s bluffing.

    • Kahu Matu says:

You could easily insert Hillary for Donald and find that the statement is even more true.

    • lespark says:

Trump doesn’t have to do anything. He isn’t the candidate who has a history of black outs, concussion, memory loss.

      • Keonigohan says:

liberals do have episodes of blackouts…called “liberalism”. Can be cured though with an injection of TRUTH serum which opens their brains up to accepting information.

      • MillionMonkeys says:

Trump thinks he publicly opposed the Iraq War back in the beginning, even though NOBODY has any evidence of that.

He just “knew” that Obama was born in Kenya, despite having ZERO info. That is very dementia-like.

He forgot that the Mexican president told him they weren’t going to pay for the wall.

He forgot who David Duke is. When reminded that Duke is with the KKK,never bothered to condemn that racist. Still hasn’t.

  17. Marauders_1959 says:

“I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal,” she said of the pneumonia diagnosis

NOTHING’s a big deal to her:
    “What difference does it make?”

  18. roadsterred says:

The video is what it is. It has no ulterior motive. Either you saw her stumble and had to be held up and placed in the van or you saw her trip and got caught by her handlers and assisted into the van. Losing her shoe in the process is normal if you are a Democrat.

How much longer Hillary will be able to campaign is anyone’s guess. It’s too bad they can’t find a double to substitute for her until the second to the last week before the election.

    • sarge22 says:

The Internet thinks Hillary Clinton has a body double…http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/09/13/internet-thinks-hillary-clinton-has-body-double/90297312/

  19. st1d says:

the ceremony is about three hours long and there are no shade tents or chairs provided. attendees stand the entire time. very few stay until the end.

standing, suffering from a secret pneumonia, it’s no wonder the female felon felt faint and had to be hoisted into the getaway car, losing her shoe, like some ancient cinderella, in the process.

while there are antibiotics that can cure pneumonia, what’s the cure for an unhealthy obsession with privacy that continually causes unnecessary problems for the congenital liar?

    • Boots says:

Oh come on what presidential candidate has not been somewhat guarded about their medical history? I think it is normal for anyone to try to keep such things private. Certainly the Donald has not been forthcoming. We shall see just what medical info the Donald releases.

      • sarge22 says:

Stay on point.”Clinton feels good, says she didn’t pass out during stumble” What’s Trump got to do with HiLIARy and her severe health issues?

        • cojef says:

Yeah like the time she and daughter Chelsea landed in Bosnia under fire. Shade of Bryan Williams helicopting in Iraq. He was not fired he was “reassined” to put it mildly. Just like how liberal’s like to report their agenda, white lies?

      • hawaiikone says:

        John McCain.

      • st1d says:

baghdad boots: a candidate with a history of concussions, blood clots, coughing fits, extensive selective memory loss, confusion, fainting spells, broken bones and double vision may not have the cognitive ability to fulfill the duties of president.

  20. magicman1433 says:

Why all this concern for Hillary’s physical health? The real focus should be Trump’s mental health…

    • hawaiikone says:

Appearance prompts questions. When challenged, McCain allowed all interested an opportunity to review his complete medical records. Naturally, Trump’s gang would like to see Clinton keel over, but aside from that nonsense, she owes the voters absolute transparency with regard to her overall health. Although Trump hasn’t displayed any outward signs of any issues, his age alone should be enough to warrant the same courtesy.
