That entire road needs to either be made a no passing zone or else barricades put up instead of a line dividing the highway. I have seen too much passing and speeding on that road. You know who you are too. Passing a vehicle driving at the speed limit. I had someone pass me on Kunia Road when I was at the speed limit. Unfortunately for that person, he did that using an intersection to pass me and in front of HPD, who was on the side monitoring people’s speed. I would imagine, that is how he drives every day. Just that time he got caught.

Drivers in a rush to end up in the morgue. Sad that sometimes the innocent ones on the same roadway get hurt by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I never did like driving on Kunia road. Another one I hated was Kaukonahua dr.

Kunia Road has become dangerous and deadly in recent years. As more people use that road, the road has become a killing zone unfortunately.

Kunia Rd. is a scary road to drive for several reasons. It really should be 4 to 5 lanes (center turn lane) to allow for people turning left. You have industrial traffic plus a lot of younger ,more impetuous drivers going to and from Schofield. Add in the occasional person who feels obligated to drive a few miles under the speed limit with no regard to the long line of cars building behind him/her. I have found it calms my nerves to just accept that whenever I use the road I’ll be part of that long line at some point and allow a few minutes extra travel time. There are too many dips and blind curves to pass more than one single car safely.

Too many alcohol powered cars on that road.
