Police today arrested a 30-year-old Waianae man who allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old woman, who is a household member.

Police said the man allegedly entered a Waianae area home Thursday night without the woman’s permission, assaulted the woman, threatened her with a dangerous instrument and prevented her from leaving.

He released the woman the next morning.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of abuse of a household member, first-degree terroristic threatening, burglary and kidnapping.
