A 75-year-old Waikele man was charged yesterday with 19 counts of sex assault in connection with attacks on a 15-year-old girl over two years, police said.

William Eugene Clisham, of Olua Place, was charged about 7:15 p.m. with seven counts of first-degree sexual assault and 12 counts of third-degree sexual assault. He is being held at the main station unable to post $500,000 bail. 

Clisham was arrested at the main station yesterday about 9:10 a.m. Police said the girl reported the incidents happened over a two-year period.
