A radar images shows the cold front approaching northwest of the islands.

A new cold front making its way across the island chain is bringing wind, rain, and possibly thunderstorms.

Forecasters say southwest winds may become gusty this afternoon ahead of the front.

Skies over Oahu and Kauai turned cloudy today and rain is likely tonight through Sunday.

There’s a possibility of heavier rain, even thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday.

Lows will be in the 60s.

Trade winds should return Wednesday and Thursday.

But winds may shift again as another front approaches the islands, bringing more rain by Saturday.
