A Waianae high school student has been charged with assault for stabbing a fellow student on Friday.
Ikaika Andrade, 18, was initially arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, as well as third-degree criminal property damage for allegedly damaging a vehicle after the assault.
He was charged Saturday with second-degree assault.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to a local trauma center in serious condition.
Andrade’s bail was set at $25,000.
