Man charged in 2 attempted sexual assault cases in Mililani

Prosecutors Wednesday charged a 25-year-old man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a 22-year-old friend at her Mililani home Monday night, and then 10 minutes later allegedly tried to sexually assault a 25-year-old cashier at a Mililani convenience store.

Ryan Monte of Mililani was charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault, three counts of third-degree sexual assault and two counts of kidnapping.

He remains in custody in lieu of $75,000 bail, and is scheduled Friday for a preliminary hearing.
