Makaha man pleads guilty to manslaughter in death of friend

A Makaha man charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a friend pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to manslaughter.
Chad Duran, who is also accused of multiple weapons charges, pleaded guilty to using a firearm to commit a felony.
Duran, 23, shot Christopher Medeiros, 26, in the head on Sept. 12 at Medeiros’ Makaha apartment.
Sentencing is set for June 25.
