Victim of apparent murder was Aiea man, 20

LAST UPDATED: 07:31 a.m. HST, Apr 21, 2013

The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man whose body was found in Kalihi as 20-year-old Jason Oliveros of Aiea.

Police on Friday arrested two men, ages 19 and 20, of Kalihi on suspicion of second-degree murder.

They remained in police custody Saturday and had not been charged.

Paramedics were called to Halona Street at 3 a.m. Friday and treated Oliveros for a trauma wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene about 40 minutes later.

Hawaii News Now reports he had been stabbed multiple times.

"Apparent murder"? Stabbed multiple times and beaten. Nothing gets past Honolulu's finest. Any other department might think it was a suicide.
