Vice President Biden may make stop in Hawaii this weekend

Vice President Joe Biden will reportedly stop in Hawaii this weekend after a six-day trade and diplomatic trip to India and Singapore.

Biden arrived in India on Monday afternoon on a four-day visit designed to strengthen ties and lay the groundwork for a summit between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Barack Obama this fall in Washington.

Biden, making his first visit to India as vice president and the first by any sitting U.S. vice president in decades, began his trip by visiting a memorial to Mohandas Gandhi, the leader whose non-violent movement freed India from British rule.

“What a high honor and great privilege to be here in this sacred spot - memorializing one man who changed the world,” he wrote at the visitors’ book at Gandhi Smriti, where Gandhi died in 1948.

After meeting senior Indian officials in the capital of New Delhi, the vice president will travel to Mumbai, the nation’s financial hub, to deliver a speech urging both sides to boost economic ties well beyond the current $100 billion in annual U.S.-India trade.

The Bidens will stop in Hawaii on their way back to the United States; they return to Washington on Sunday, according to USA Today.

Great news.... Both are huge centers for business which we should participate it. Perhaps one our college graduates will go to Mumbai and Singapore for their first jobs. They speak a lot of English there and Americans are good sales people. The technical stuff will probably be done by the natives.... but maybe not. Their best goes to the US to work...

I've worked with a number of these bright guys... Amazing thing is that the IIT is an ENGINEERING school which means that it is slanted towards commercial activities but it has a high enough reputation that science majors also want to attend as this following kid does... He wants to have a career in high energy physics or astro-physics.

However, not a good place for young women as gangs of men roam the streets for lone females to rape. Courts in India seem indifferent about thins like that.

Oh GREAT....As if Chum gang leader isn't enough, now we have to deal with Biden. I wish Dear Leader would spend his vacation time in his hometown of Chicago instead of his 5mil vacations over here, causing traffic jams and other interruptions.

This from a man who in 2006 insulted enterprising immigrants from India with this gem:

“In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

" I guess USA Today considers Hawaii a third world country, probably accurate, when you consider the Detroit-like regime we have here. I like the ideas of the posters here, go straight "home" Mr. Biden and don't foul our great climate with your carbon foot-print.
