'Help me' call prompts kidnapping investigation

By Star-Advertiser staff

Police are investigating the possible kidnapping of a 22-year-old woman in the Waianae area after authorities received a call from a concerned mother, according to police documents.

A woman told police on Saturday that she called her daughter's cell phone around 3 p.m. and her daughter answered "Help me."

The woman hadn't heard from her daughter since she left their house hours earlier at 7 a.m., police said.

No other details were made available.
