HAGATNA, Guam >> A moderate earthquake has struck in the Guam region, but there were no reports of damage or injury and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning or watch.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 5.8-magnitude temblor struck shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, Guam time, and was centered in the ocean about 125 miles southwest of Hagatna, and about 60 miles under the seabed.

Guam police dispatcher Lorraine Cruz said there had been no reports of injury or damage.

The USGS said that just a handful of people reported feeling the quake.
