Police arrest man in Friday Waipahu robbery

Police arrested a 21-year-old Waipahu man who allegedly robbed a Waipahu business on Friday.

According to police, the suspect entered the business around 10:10 a.m. and brandished a dangerous weapon at two employees. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of merchandise but was located nearby by responding police officers 10 minutes later.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery and an outstanding warrant.
