DELTONA, Fla. >> A veteran of the U.S. Marines says he was locked inside a central Florida community clinic operated by the Veteran’s Administration.

Jeffrey Duck told WKMG he arrived as a “walk in” patient at the clinic around 1 p.m. Monday and sat in a consultation room for more than three hours before realizing he was alone in the building.

Duck says he was worried he’d be accused of trying to steal something so he took cellphone video of himself walking around the lobby. That set off the alarm. So, he called 911.

The Veteran’s Administration issued an apology to Duck on Tuesday and said they are reviewing their closing procedures.

Duck says he isn’t angry, just disappointed.
