Inmate who failed to return from a furlough is arrested
Hawaii County police arrested a furlough inmate who failed to return to the Hale Nani Furlough Center as scheduled on Wednesday.
Jordan Kaneshiro left the facility in the morning to go to job interviews but did not return as scheduled at 2 p.m.
Kaneshiro was located on Sunday and arrested for second-degree escape. He was already serving time for terroristic threatening and abuse of a family member.
