Prosecutors: 3 solicited teens for sex parties

NEW YORK >> A New York City couple and a single mother tried to recruit girls as young as 12 for sex parties with adult men at a hotel and club, according to court papers.

The documents filed in federal court in Brooklyn accuse Brian Adams of being the organizer of the parties. The papers allege his wife Shandale Franklin and the other woman, Tatiana Daniel, used Facebook to recruit the girls.

“It’s called a gentlemen’s affair. … Basically like a sex party,” Franklin wrote to one of the girls, according to the papers. “Doctors and lawyers and maybe teachers will be there. Drinks, weed and food will be there.”

Daniel would send Adams photographs of the girls for his approval, the papers said. In one instance, after meeting a 15-year-old recruit, Adams wrote Daniel, “She good for the party. But she kinda Big.”

The girls were told in the online conversations that they could make up to $800 or more if they skipped school and attended the daytime parties, prosecutors said. It’s unclear from the court papers whether the gatherings ever took place.

The three defendants, who are being held without bail, face a minimum 15 years in prison if convicted. There was no immediate response to messages left on Saturday with their lawyers.

The case was first reported by the New York Daily News.
