Shark sightings reported at Bellows
Two sharks were spotted in the area of Bellows in Waimanalo Friday afternoon about 30 to 50 yards offshore, Ocean Safety officials said.
The sharks were approximately 8 to 10 feet long and aggresively thrashing in the water, according to officials.
Ocean Safety received the call around 2:15 p.m. and lifeguards cleared the water.
Shark Warning signs have been posted and will remain up for the rest of the day.
Officials will reassess the area in the morning around 9 a.m.
