Strong earthquake strikes off Fiji

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake rocked the Fiji region at around 4:43 p.m. Hawaii time Tuesday. However, no tsunami warning has been issued. 

The earthquake occurred about 28 miles southeast of Ndoi Island, Fiji at a depth of roughly 300 miles, according to officials at the U.S. Geological Survey.

No immediate injuries have been reported.
