Man seriously injured when car hits signpost, winds up on side
An 88-year-old man was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a one-car accident in Nuuanu, Emergency Medical Services said in a report.
EMS said the driver apparently lost control of his car, hit a signpost and the car rolled onto the driver’s side, and finally struck a utility post.
The accident occurred 4:14 p.m. at 60 N. Kuakini St.
Firefighters extricated the man from the car. Paramedics treated and transported him in serious condition to a trauma center, EMS said.
