Junior hitter Siki Zarkovic put down 18 kills and senior middle Taylor Averill added 16 as No. 1 Hawaii rallied after being down 0-2 to pull out a 22-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-8 win over  No. 12 UCLA in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match Monday night in Los Angeles.

Senior opposite Brook Sedore had 13 kills and 13 digs for the Rainbow Warriors (20-3, 15-2 MPSF). Hawaii, winning its 13th straight, increased its lead in the conference standings to one game over UC Irvine (20-4, 14-3).

The victory also clinches hosting duties for an MPSF tournament first-round match on April 25. It will be first time the Rainbow Warriors will host in the postseason since 2010.

It is Hawaii’s first 20-win season since 2006. The Rainbow Warriors improve to 3-1 in five-setters this year.

The Bruins (11-10, 7-10) got 13 kills from Jake Arnitz in losing their third five-setter in five matches and second in a row
