This undated booking photo provided by the Hamilton County, Ohio, Sheriff shows Glen Bates, left, and Andrea Bradley. Bradley and Bates were indicted on aggravated murder charges on April 8 in the death of their two-year old daughter, Glenara Bates, who authorities say died of starvation and blunt force injury on March 29.

CINCINNATI » Two caseworkers assigned to a 2-year-old Ohio girl who weighed 13 pounds when she died of starvation and blunt-force injury have resigned.

A statement Thursday from the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services confirmed the workers assigned to Glenara Bates’ case have resigned. Glenara died March 29.

Prosecutors say Glenara was beaten and had bruises, belt marks and bite marks, among other injuries. Her parents have pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder.

Thirty-four-year-old Shamara Stephens and 27-year-old Kassi Setty were Glenara’s caseworkers. Agency personnel records show Stephens was suspended for eight hours in 2013. The suspension order said she provided misleading information during an investigation of a potential child abuse case.

Setty worked at the agency about 11 months.

The women’s phone numbers weren’t immediately available.
