A 24-year-old Indiana woman is scheduled for trial in November for allegedly stabbing to death an Army medic’s wife last year.

Before Federal Magistrate Kevin Chang, Ailsa “Lisa” Jackson entered a plea of not guilty Monday on a first-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of Catherine Walker, 38, in her Alia­manu Military Reservation home Nov. 15, 2014.

Chang accepted the Jackson’s not guilty plea and set trial for Nov. 12  before Chief Federal Judge  Susan Oki Mollway .

Jackson is being held without bail in the federal detention center in Honolulu.

Federal prosecutors have the option, but have not said whether they will seek the death penalty in the case.

Jackson was extradited to Hono­lulu over the weekend from Indiana, where she was arrested in Fort Wayne.

A federal grand jury in Honolulu indicted Jackson last month for the alleged murder of Walker in her home.

The three-page  federal indictment said the offense was committed after “substantial planning and premeditation.”

Walker’s body was found in her home on Mori­shige Lane at AMR at about 6:30 a.m. Nov. 15.

Jackson lived with her parents a few blocks away on Kobashigawa Street in Aliamanu housing complex.

The medical examiner said Walker died from stab wounds to the neck and torso and ruled her death a homicide.

Walker’s husband was a medic assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center.
