Revamped comic strip lineup debuts
We’ve taken the best strips from the Star-Bulletin and the Advertiser and combined them into what we consider a prime lineup of cartoon talent: Sherman’s Lagoon, Doonesbury, Pooch Cafe, Zits, Get Fuzzy, Sally Forth, Garfield, For Better or for Worse, Prickly City, Betty, Brewster Rockit: Space Guy, Agnes, Dog Eat Doug and Cul de Sac from the Star-Bulletin; and Baby Blues, Retail, Frazz, Pickles, Pearls Before Swine andLuann from the Advertiser.
(Dilbert will continue to run, as it did in the Star-Bulletin, in the business section.)
These are strips we think that have the broadest possible appeal, that represent a balance of themes and viewpoints, and will be engaging to keiki, kupuna and everyone in between.
Please enjoy them and give the strips that might be unfamiliar to you a chance. We’ll be back Sunday to introduce our revamped comics section, now in broadsheet form.
If you have any kudos or criticism, e-mail your comments to comicscommittee@staradvertiser.com. We welcome your feedback.

Find furniture deals online
Bargain hunters looking for a good deal on quality furniture and home accessories can put their garage-sale early-bird guerrilla tactics to rest. RSVP Style’s Cathy Lee has "soft-launched" Cathy’s Marketplace, an online showcase for selling gently used and new furnishings.
The local home-styling maven’s website at RSVPstyle.com already offers home decorating tips and is Hawaii’s online answer to HGTV. Now she’s branching out by offering a venue where buyers looking to spruce up their living space and sellers looking to unload home items that still have lots of life in them can both win.
What makes Cathy’s Marketplace different from other stuff-for-sale Internet sites such as eBay and Craigslist is its filtering system. The piece being offered has to pass Lee’s standards for what’s resalable. So if an 8-by-10 Chinese wool area rug listed seems like a score for $100, chances are you’re spot on.
Lee explains on the site’s YouTube video that she’s not looking for "just designer or high-priced items," but good-quality items for listing.
Sellers can simply upload their items for a fixed price, and buyers can call it their own with a click of their mouse.
There are no seller’s fees during the soft launch, and Lee hadn’t revealed her deadline as we went to press, so if you’re looking to sell, now’s the time.
