Burglary suspect charged in Kailua-Kona

Big Island police have charged a 20-year-old Kailua-Kona man for burglaries at two Kailua-Kona restaurants last week.

Brandon Kingsbury-Santiago, 20, of Kailua-Kona was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of criminal trespass, one count of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree theft, one count of third-degree theft and a liquor violation involving a minor. 

He and five teen-agers are suspected in burglaries that occurred between Friday and Saturday in Kailua-Kona. The juveniles were released pending further investigation.
