Hawaii women’s volleyball coach Dave Shoji is among three individuals and one business that comprise the 2010 AVCA Hall of Fame class.

Shoji, the reigning national coach of the year, is joined by former Church College of Hawaii and Brigham Young men’s coach Carl McGowan; longtime Community Colleges of Spokane coach Irene Matlock; and Sports Imports, Inc.

Last season, Shoji became the second Division I women’s coach to earn 1,000 victories. The Wahine advanced to the final four last December, falling to eventual NCAA champion Penn State in the semifinals.
