2 teens arrested in Waikiki robbery
Police arrested a teenage girl and boy early this morning after they allegedly robbed a 22-year-old man in Waikiki.
The 16-year-old girl approached the man about 12:30 a.m. and demanded his money, then slapped him, police said. The victim gave her his money.
As he tried to flee, a 19-year-old man grabbed him and punched him in the back of the head, police said.
The victim escaped into a liquor business and called police.
Officers arrested both suspects on Kanekapolei Street, the man on suspicion of second-degree robbery. The girl’s information was not on the police arrest log because she is a juvenile.
