Additional testing required to determine cause of death of 5-month-old baby
The Medical Examiner’s Office has deferred the cause of death in the case of a 5-month-old male infant, Lawrence L. Dennis of Makiki, who died yesterday.
Further testing may take another six to eight weeks before a cause is determined.
A care provider discovered the unconscious baby at 2:55 a.m. yesterday in his crib, and 911 was immediately called, police said.
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital where efforts to resuscitate him failed, police said.
