A 39-year-old man was critically injured and two others seriously injured this morning when a car struck a dirt embankment off Honoapiilani Highway on Maui and overturned.
The male passenger was thrown from the car by the impact. He was listed in critical condition at Maui Memorial Medical Center. The 26-year-old woman driver and a 25-year-old male passenger were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police said the car was traveling north on the highway at 2:04 a.m. today when the driver lost control and the car struck the embankment.
