Oosthuizen pulls away to dominating British Open title
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland — Louis Oosthuizen has won his first major golf championship with a dominating seven-stroke victory at the British Open.
The South African started Sunday with a four-stroke advantage. It turned into a romp when his closest challenger, England’s Paul Casey, took triple-bogey at the 12th. Oosthuizen shot a 1-under 71 in the final round for a 16-under 272 total.
