Frances Kakugawa will give a free workshop for those dealing with loved ones with dementia.
Kakugawa will lead "The Voices of Caregivers," presented by the Aloha Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Ward Warehouse’s Kewalo Conference Room, located on the second floor of the shopping and business complex at 1050 Ala Moana Blvd.
Kakugawa is an author, educator, speaker and was a caregiver to her mother. She’s led writing workshops and support groups for caregivers and professional health care workers for the local Alzheimer’s Association office and on the mainland for many years.
