Maui firefighters respond to small blaze in mac nut field
Maui firefighters are fighting a small brush fire in a macadamia nut field in Wailuku, Maui County officials said.
Fire crews from three stations are at the scene, and two helicopters are making water drops. The fire burned one to two acres in a field off Malaihi Road today and is about a quarter-mile from the nearest structure.
The cause remains unknown, and no one has been injured.
