Sixty-five mainland members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of the Pacific Southwest Region will initiate a "Miracle Week" on Monday by helping to repair three local sister churches.

They are lending their hands to Christ Church Uniting of Kailua, First Christian Church of Honolulu and Wahiawa Christian Church until Friday. The Rev. Todd Adams, associate general minister of the denomination, will be among the helpers.

The region includes 145 congregations within Southern California, Southern Nevada and Hawaii.

To celebrate the week of service, Wahiawa Christian Church is inviting the community to a rotisserie chicken dinner with entertainment on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For information, call 621-5818.
