Kaiser loss widens to $5.1 million in the second quarter
Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Hawaii’s loss widened in the second quarter to $5.1 million as revenue stayed flat, expenses rose and investment income shrunk.
The state’s largest health maintenance organization, which lost $1.6 million in the year-earlier quarter, had revenue of $234.9 million in the second quarter of both years.
Investment income shrunk to $1.1 million from $1.3 million. Expenses rose to $241.1 million from $237.8 million.
