Christian Self, award-winning mixologist and bar manager at Chinatown art venue/nightclub thirtyninehotel, earned yet another title — Maker of the "World’s Best Mai Tai" — at the Big Island’s Royal Kona Resort last weekend.

Self received the accolade, along with a $10,000 check from Bacardi, Saturday during the main event of the Second Annual Don the Beachcomber Mai Tai Festival at the hotel. The two-day event also featured a "Battle of the BBQ," live entertainment by Eric Gilliom and Henry Kapono and a grand finale concert by Third Eye Blind.
