» Rep. Marcus Oshiro preceded Kirk Caldwell as majority leader in the state House of Representatives. A Page B1 article yesterday said he was Caldwell’s successor. Rep. Blake Oshiro succeeded Caldwell as majority leader. The online version has been corrected.
» Rick Nomura is the administrator of Hawaii Duck Tours. A Page B4 story Saturday stated that he was the company’s general manager. The online version has been corrected.
» Speaking about a termite-prevention measure developed at the University of Hawaii, Ken Grace, director of the UH Termite Project, said, "I believe that until recently it was the top-earning patent for the University of Hawaii." The last line of his quote was cut off on Page D3 yesterday. The online version has been updated.
» Board of Education incumbent Kim Coco Iwamoto supports an independent audit of the Department of Education but points out that independent audits are conducted annually already. A Page A20 article Friday did not make clear that Iwamoto was aware of audits currently conducted of the DOE. The online version has been updated.
