A woman injured by a car in Waikiki last night was apparently a robbery victim.

Police said the woman, 19, and the male suspect were standing at a bus stop near Kapahulu and Kalakaua avenues at about 10:10 p.m. when the suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and ran into a waiting car. As the vehicle drove away, the victim jumped on the hood, police said.

The woman lost her grip on the car and fell to the road, police said.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene and then took her to a  trauma center in serious condition.

Police searched the area for the suspect and getaway car but were unsuccessful.
